Menu launched to take venue to the next level
The Plough, on Bondgate Without, is unveiling its latest dining offering with the aim of taking the venue to the next level.
The core lunch and dinner menu will be the same as the one which has already proved popular at The Jolly Fisherman, in Craster.

And he has recently brought in executive head chef Kevin Mulraney to oversee the menu change and take the food offering to even greater heights.
Explaining the rationale behind The Jolly Fisherman @ The Plough concept, David said: “I have had The Jolly Fisherman for five years and it has grown exponentially. The whole USP is the view, the food and the ambience. It has become very successful and we are bursting at the seams at The Jolly and we want to replicate this in Alnwick. We are trying to achieve fine dining, but which is relaxed and is rustic and a little bit different.
“It is all about honest, locally-sourced food. The Plough already does well, but we want to take it to the next level. Kevin has been at The Jolly for two months and we have decided to roll the menu out and bring The Jolly’s core menu to The Plough, so there will be things like our famous crab soup.”
